cash for clunkersCash for Clunkers may soon come to a end but,  may leave a bad taste in the public’s mouth. After all the dust settles consumers will pay more for used cars. Between past hurricanes leaving the area low on used car inventories and the stream of used cars going to Mexico, combined with the CARS program an estimated seven hundred thousand vehicles will be eliminated from the market.

The one thing is that many recipients of the program may have a tax liability if they made money off the program. The rest of public who didn’t get the opportunity whether they were to late or just could not afford it should be prepared to pay more for used cars. It won’t be higher prices on older cars because they will not be available. This is probably the beginning of a larger problem, so hold on to your older ride it we be worth more later.  Keith Nielsen Owner of Kar-Mart
